‘Ban anti-Hindu books written by P. Khedekar, M. M. Deshmukh’

Aashadh Shuddha Dwitiya

Valhe (Dist. Pune): Anti-Hindu books written by Purushottam Khedekar, M. M. Deshmukh and Shrimant Kokate spreading hatred among people towards not only saint Tukaram and saint Dnyaneshwar but also against Hindu Dharma should be immediately banned by Maharashtra Government. The decision on such ban should be taken before a joint meeting proposed to be held in Bhandi-Shegaon of the chief of ‘Dindis’ and the managers and participants of these ‘dindis’, else state-wide agitation will be undertaken. The above warning was given in the meeting of dindi-chiefs of Sree Dnyaneshwar Maharaj ‘Palakhi’ ceremony. (Congratulations to warakaris demanding ban on anti-Hindu books! All devout Hindus should support the demand made by Warakari Sect and force the Government to ban the above books. – Editor SP) The meeting was chaired by the owner of the ‘palakhi’ ceremony HBP. Arphalkar Maharaj.

The meeting was also attended by HBP. Bhanudas Maharaj Dhavalikar, president of ‘Sree Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palakhi Sohala’, HBP. Narahari Maharaj Chaudhary, secretary of Maharashtra State Warakari Mahamandal, Dr. Prashant Suru, the president of ‘Palakhi Sohla’, Shri. Sudhir Pimpale, chief trustee and Shri. Rambhau Chopdar besides more than 40 owners of ‘dindis’ and other participants.

HBP. Vivekanand Maharaj Baviskar explained to the attendees about the denigration of Saint Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Samartha Ramdas Swami, Dadoji Konddev so also Hindu Dharma in the books published by Maratha Seva Sangh and Sambhaji Brigade and said that these organizations had the support of Muslim and Christian Organizations. All matter written in these books is to create rift in warakari sect.

A resolution, presented by HBP. Azarekar Maharaj, was passed condemning Purushottam Khedekar, M. M. Deshmukh and Shrimant Kokate. The next meeting will be held at Bhandi Shegaon (Dist. Solapur) to decide further course of action and will be attended by ‘Dehu Sansthan’, ‘Tukaram Maharaj Palakhi Sohla’, ‘Sopankaka Palakhi Sohla’ along with chiefs of other ‘palakhis’.

Few ‘Dindi’ chiefs proposed that the State Chief Minister should not be allowed to perform ‘puja’ of Lord Vitthal at Pandharpur on the occasion of ‘Ashadhi Ekadashi’ or the ‘palakhi’ should be withheld if the Government does not agree with their demands. (Hindus have to start agitations to get their every demand related to Dharma fulfilled by the Government or at least warn to start agitations whereas the Congress Government goes after Muslims with the offers even if they do not ask for anything. Hindus have to unite to bring about change in this situation. – Editor SP)

It is dangerous to have distorted writings circulating in the society for a long time! – Pandurang Balkawade

Maharashtra has been sustaining on the teachings of saints like Saint Dnyaneshwar, Saint Namdeo, Saint Tukaram, Saint Savta Mali etc. Maharashtra will not tolerate those who make disgraceful accusations against such saints. It is dangerous to circulate such writings among people for long. Such writings should, therefore, be banned,” was the demand made by senior historian Mr. Pandurang Balkawade.
