Second meeting held in Chennai for Hindu Dharma Jagruti Sabha

Chennai: Hindu Janjagruti Samiti is organizing a Hindu Dharma Jagruti Sabha in Chennai on 19th April, 2009. For this purpose, a meeting of like minded people was conducted on April 12th at Kanchi Kama Koti Peetham, Chetpet, Chennai at 5.30 pm. The meeting commenced with prayer and an introduction about Hindu Janjagruti Samiti by Sou. Uma Ravi, Coordinator for Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, Chennai. This was followed by a video presentation of the HinduJagruti.org website, wherein the different features and contents were demonstrated by her using the projector. Sri. Rajan Shinde the organizer for the Dharmasabhas in India, explained in detail about the activities of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti. He also elaborated regarding the ongoing, successful campaigns and explained in detail how the awareness is developed amongst the Hindus by conducting Dharma sikshan vargs in various places, writing Dharma related matters on boards on roads and putting flex banners in thousands of temples. A video CD regarding the conducting of Dharma Sabha was also shown to make the people familiar with the nature of Dharma Sabha. The most significant feature was the presenece of Sri. Sundaram, Retired IAS Officer and Editor, News Today. He began with a brief introduction about Sanatan Sanstha and appreciated the work carried out by His Holiness Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale. Further he explained how Hinduism is facing attacks by the Congress government in the Centre and also from the local government. He quoted the famous Tamil poet Bharatiyar’s song and explained how we have come from such a wonderful period to such a worst situation where we are surrounded by black money, rowdies, media, so called secularism. He mentioned the denigration made by Deccan Chronicle in its March issue in the name of artistic freedom. He also explained about the apology done by it.

He highly appreciated the Sanatan Sanstha’s almanac which includes the tithis of Maharishis. He also said that he has gained lot of knowledge due to this. He constantly urged Hindus to arise and act for the cause of Hindu Dharma. In conclusion he said that is an opportunity given to us to act fearlessly at this important time of election by voting.

He also stressed that as given in the Gita “Yada yada hi………. “His Holiness Dr. Athavale is none other than Sri Krishna and all of us are like the vanar sena actively participating in His mission.

The meeting received a good response with about 40 people from different Hindu organizations attended the meeting. Some of them expressed their views on the topic & offered to contribute in various ways for the Dharma Sabha. Everybody was very much impressed with the activities of HJS.

The meeting commenced with prayer and an introduction about Hindu Janjagruti Samiti by Sou. Uma Ravi, Coordinator for Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, Chennai. This was followed by a video presentation of the HinduJagruti.org website, wherein the different features and contents were demonstrated by her using the projector. Sri.   • Smt. Lalita has offered to distribute pamphlets.
  • Shri. Chinna Durai is ready to take one week leave to for Dharma Seva
