Beed (Maharashtra): ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ film hurting Hindus’ religious feelings, creating rift among Hindus and insulting the Nation was released at Santoshimata Chitramandir’ in Beed. Hearing this news the activists of various Social, Political and Hindutvawadi organizations protested to stop the screening of the film gathering in front of the Theatre. Thereafter a representation demanding to stop the screening was handed over to the District Collector. Representatives and activists of Pethbeed Mitramandal, Dhande Galli Mitramandal, Shivsena, Maratha Mahasangh, Chava, Sanatan Sanstha, Swami Ramanand Sanghatana, Peshwa Yuvamanch, Rashtrawadi Yuvak Vidyarthi were present. (Congrtulations to the proud Hindus in Beed for prompt protest against the anti-Hindu and anti-National film! – Editor) When the owner of the theatre, Shri. Ravi Kshirsagar was requested to stop the screening of the said film he said, “If you were to give some idea about this then I would not have brought this film. Now I would lose lacs of rupees by not showing it.” (Born Hindus giving more importance to money rather than to the degaradation of Deities! – Editor)

Beed District Sub-Inspector Shri. Suvez Hak came there and after listening to both the sides he reprimanded saying, “If you take law in your hands then I shall deal with it.” (Will the District Sub-Inspector threatening Hindus protesting constitutionally take action against the fanatic Muslims taking law in their hands openly? – Editor) “Give representation regarding your demands to the District Collector and I should act immediately as per his order.” Thereafter the Hindu organizations handed over the said representation to the District Collector.
