Pune (Maharashtra) : On 9th August, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and like-minded pro-Hindu organizations had held demonstrations at ‘Akhil Mandai’ area near Lokmanya Statue, under aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan (RHA)’ for various demands. Signatures of Hindus participating in demonstrations were taken on representation to be submitted to the District Collector. The representation signed by citizens was later handed over to Tehsildar Dadasaheb Jagadale by Shri. Krushnaji Patil of HJS and Shri. Niranjan Date of Sanatan Sanstha on 14th August.

Demands made in representation –

1. Endowment Department managing Hindu temples in Karnataka has appointed 4 Muslim and 2 Christian officers. This appointment should be cancelled.

2. As per the decision taken by the then District Collector of Kolhapur, ‘Manikarnika Kunda’, which is an integral part of Shri Mahalakshmi Devasthan, should be immediately opened for public.

3. Program ‘Ek Shaam Pakistan ke naam’ planned to be held at New Delhi should be cancelled.
