Pune (Maharashtra) : It is very unfortunate that we have to shout to get heard that people supporting terrorist Yakub Memon are also traitors.

The above statement was made by Smt. Trupti Desai, the regional President of ‘Bhoomata Brigade’. She said that every drive undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) will be supported by her organization.

HJS and like-minded pro-Hindu organizations staged demonstrations on 9th August between 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. near Lokmanya Tilak’s statue in ‘Akhil Mandai’ area under aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan’. It was demanded that strict action should be taken against supporters of Yakub Memon and a program called ‘Shaan-e-Pakistan’, including a qawali program by Pakistani artistes proposed to be held at Delhi should be cancelled; among other demands.

More than 100 devout Hindus including Shri. Vijay Gawade, ‘Patit-Pavan’, Pune, Shri. Shailendra Dixit, ‘Hindu Ekata Andolan’, Shri. Niranjan Date, Sanatan Sanstha and Shri. Parag Gokhale, HJS etc. participated in the demonstrations.

Shri. Niranjan Date of Sanatan Sanstha said, “The then District Collector had issued order on 15th April 2013 to Pashchim Maharashtra Devasthan Samiti for removal of toilet built on ‘Manikarnika Kunda’ in the premises of Shri Mahalakshmi Devi Temple; still it has not been implemented so far. We, therefore, openly condemn such indifference.”

Shri. Parag Gokhale of HJS said that police should immediately take action against the so-called dignitaries and anti-nationals attending funeral of Yakub Memon.

Highlights

1. Five policemen in uniform and 15 police in plain clothes were present at the venue.

2. Police in plain clothes took pictures of demonstrations and video-recorded the program. (Had police shown such alertness at the time of programs of fanatics, this country would have been freed from terrorism by now. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

3. Sanatan’s representative was downloading all photos for compilation of news when a policeman was minutely observing all actions. (Why such promptness is never shown by police during programs held by fanatics ? That time they behave as if they are blind despite watching everything. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

4. Signature drive was undertaken to submit representation to the District Collector. Few people were afraid of signing the representation. After explaining to them about ‘qawali’ program, they signed and showed strong opposition to the program. 5. Many Warakaris were passing by the venue of demonstrations and they too joined as they came to know about this program.
