HJS opposes film ‘Bajarangi Bhaijaan’ for insulting Lord Hanuman !

Mumbai : A Hindi film ‘Bajarangi Bhaijaan’ produced by Kabir Khan and Salman Khan, an accused in a rash car-driving case punished with 5 years imprisonment, will be released on 17th July 2015. Word ‘Bajarangi’ is used for Shri Hanuman, a Deity worshipped by millions of Hindus and the film promotes ‘love jihad’; therefore, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) is opposing it, informed Shri. Sunil Ghanwat, the State Convener of HJS. Representations are submitted to theatre-owners at different places against screening of this film.

Few important accusations against the film

1. Shri Hanuman is the name of Deity worshipped by Hindus but this name is joined with word ‘Bhaijaan’ used for a Muslim person. It is a deliberate attempt to hurt religious sentiments of Hindus.

2. It has been observed in the trailer of this film that ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ has been recited in improper manner.

3. In a song ‘Selfie lele re’ from this film, Salman Khan has been shown as wearing a mask of Hanuman and dancing in a perverted manner. It is most objectionable and is deliberate attempt to deride Hindu Deities.

4. There is a picture of Shri Hanuman on the posters of this film. These posters are later torn of, thrown in dust-bins which is grave insult of the Deity.

5. In this film, Hindu girls have been criticized in objectionable manner.

6. Adnan Sami, a Pakistani singer has been glorified by giving him a song in this film.

7. Pakistan’s Censor Board has extended certification to this film by cutting many parts from the film; when earlier, Pakistan had not allowed release of a film titled ‘Ek tha Tiger Hyder’. Why should patriotic citizens watch a film glorifying a singer from enemy country like Pakistan ?

8. In this film, Salman Khan’s mother is shown as a Hindu and father as Muslim which is in a way promoting ‘love jihad’.

Hindus’ religious sentiments have been hurt due to insult of Hindu Saints, traditions and beliefs; therefore, this film should not be screened by theatre-owners, is an appeal made by HJS.
