Bhor (Maharashtra): Angered by the distortion of history in the film ‘Jodha Akbar’, the ardent Hindus in Bhor (district Pune) vehemently opposed the controversial movie and stopped its screening. (Congratulations to the Hindus for their bold step! – Editor) The movie was being screened in ‘Vaishali’ cinema house.  When a few ardent Hindus Sarvashri Vinayak-kaka Sanas, Mahesh Bandal, Vishwajit Chavan and Prof. Vitthal Jadhav learnt about it, they called on the owner of the theatre Shri Sunil Ghodekar and told him, “The movie glorifies the cruel King Akbar who inflicted untold miseries on the Hindus, raped a number of Hindus women and also vandalised thousands of Hindu temples.” The owner assured the Hindus to discontinue the screening of the movie; but in reality he did not take any action and the movie continued without hurdle. When Shri. Vinayak-kaka Sanas and Shri. Prasad Joshi learnt about the mischief, they decided to stop the screening of the movie at any cost.

Shri. Prasad Joshi who is a scholar of life-story of Shivaji and ardent Hindu collected 40 to 45 youths and visited the owner of the theatre Shri. Ghodekar and asked him about his assurance. They took a stand they under no circumstances they would allow screening of the film. Seeing the angry mood of the protesters, Shri. Ghodekar stopped the screening and gave a letter to that effect and also removed the hoardings. (Hindus should show such valour everywhere and bring a ban on the anti-Hindu movie! – Editor)
