Mumbai (Maharahstra): There is no other braver warrior, a hero like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who is loved by all, who won all battles he fought and who kept his subjects happy. Our Central Government, indifferent towards the problem of terrorism, should follow the ideal of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The above appeal was made by Shri. Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister of Gujarat while inaugurating an exhibition on ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Hero of Modern India’ held at P. L. Deshpande hall. The exhibition has been held on behalf of FACT (Foundation against Continuing Terrorism) from 8th to 18th March. The program was also attended by Sri Sri Ravishankar, the founder of Art of Living, Shri. Gopinath Munde, a leader of BJP, Shri. Prafull Goradia, former MP from BJP. The program was hosted by senior French journalist Shri. François Goutier.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was not only good at fighting with enemy but he was also a very good administrator. This great personality should be, in fact, very inspiring for today’s politicians; but unfortunately, these perverted people are not ready to accept the life history of Shivaji Maharaj and the battle fought in 1857 for freedom, is termed as ‘revolt’ by today’s generation. It is therefore, necessary that young generation is taught true history and this need is taken care of by such exhibitions, said Shri. Modi.

People of this country should develop and nurture the qualities like sacrifice and loyalty. Stories of brave leaders and great warriors should be presented before them. It is very sad that in Chennai, the police did not grant permission to hold FACT exhibition. India is second after Iraq in tolerating or doing nothing against terrorism.

Sri. Sri. Ravishankar said that we need peace by revolting and we peacefully need to revolt. He said that a foreign national like Shri. Francoise has love for India. Such non-Indians will grow in number and our dream of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (World is one family)’ will come true. Shri. Prafull Goradia said that we need a king like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj now, in the present times. Members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Art of Living extended active support in organizing the exhibition.
