Rashtriya Hindu Andolan at Dhule

Dhule (Maharashtra) : It may be observed from the census conducted in 2011, although not disclosed by the then Congress Government, that Muslims are no longer in minority in this country. How long should we tolerate separate laws for Muslims and Hindus ? The Uniform Civil Code should be immediately adopted now,’ stated Dr. Sachin Chingare of Vishwa Hindu Parishada (VHP) during Rahstriya Hindu Andolan held here on 7th February.

Shri. Purushottam (Nanabhau) Joshi, former ‘Sangh-karyavahak’ said, “Valentine Day leads to increase in love jihad incidents. One fanatic scrap dealer kidnapped a Hindu girl in Nagpur. All such things should be stopped.”

Sou. Poonam Malkar of Yoga Vedanta Samiti said, “Valentine Day is resulting in downfall of young generation. The youth should love their parents and mother-tongue.” Shri. Pankaj Bagul of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti also expressed his views.

Highlights

1. After conclusion of demonstrations, one traffic police said, “We are with you. We feel proud of you.”

2. The arrangements for sound system were made by Yoga Vedanta Samiti. Devotees of H. H. Asaramji Bapu joining the demonstrations were standing with boards which said ‘On 14th February, celebrate ‘Matru-Pitru Din’, instead of Valentine Day’.

3. A representation was submitted to Dy. District Collector, Sou. Shubhangi Bharade after the demonstrations.
