Parbhani (Maharashtra): A State-level ladies conference was held by Jijau Brigade on 25th and 26th August 2007. On the first day of this conference, Smt. Jayashree Shelake, the zonal president of Jijau Brigade and Dr. Khandare criticized H. H. Asaram Bapu, Hindu Dharma, Hindu deities, Ramayana and Mahabharata in a very disgraceful manner and ridiculed saints. News about the same was published in daily newspaper ‘Sanatan Prabhat’. Devout Hindus took a serious note of it and took out a protest march to the District Collector’s office. In the end, a representation was submitted to Shri. Vishwambhar Gawande, the Resident District Collector of Parbhani. A demand has been made by Yoga Vedanta Samiti, saints-mahants and office bearers of various Hindu organizations, to take immediate action against those responsible for hurting religious sentiments of Hindus as also such heretics should render a public apology to all Hindus.

The representation was signed by Acharya Shri. Manish Chaitanya Maharaj of Dnyaneshwar Mauli Sanstha, Shri. Dnyanoba Mauli Shinde, the President of all-India Warakari Sangh, Shri. Shriram Kajale Maharaj, the President of Manavat all-India Warakari Mandal, Shri. Balasaheb Pathare Maharaj of Adhyatmik Warakari Shikshan Sanstha, Acharya Sree 1008 Mahesh Maharaj, Shri. Wamanrao Kadam, the President of Yoga Vedanta Samiti and its Vice President Shri Rajesh Dayma, Suresh Lata, Shivaji Tarote, Narednra Kulkarni and members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Vishwa Hindu Parishada.

Jijau Brigade should first check its competence and worthiness before pointing fingers at Hindu Dharma, deities and saints, said Shri. Talamani Bhaktaraj Bhosale Maharaj at the conclusion of the march. He said that it was very unfortunate that in USA, studies are conducted on Hindu scriptures and anti-Hindus like members of Jijau Brigade are criticizing them. They don’t understand importance of Dharma-shastra and dare to say anything. The Government should, however, take immediate action and see to it that Jijau Brigade is not allowed to hold any programs in future.
