‘Om’ on a tobacco packet removed !

Joint efforts of members of Maharashtra Legislative assembly viz. Shri. Arvind Sawant of the Shiva Sena and Shri. Pandurang Fundkar, leader of opposition; a builder from Ulhasnagar, Shri. Naresh Raghani and the HJS have succeeded in removal of ‘Om’ from the tobacco packaging.

A tobacco manufacturer in Maharashtra, India printed a Divine symbol of Hindu’s ‘Om’ on the wrappers of ‘Om Pandharpuri Tobacco’. Empty wrappers of this product could be found mostly on roads, gutters or in dustbins. This product is available freely in small shops in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
