Panvel: The secular Maharashtra government has adopted the strategy of taking over Hindu temples and other religious organisations. Government takeover of temples amounts to destroying the sanctity of temples so in other words it is an attack on the Hindu Dharma itself. Also this will result in corruption of the temple wealth and the temples will be converted into tourist spots. The trustees of temples and religious shrines should become aware of these dangers and prepare themselves to conserve this precious heritage, which is existing since ancient times.

This anti- faith law aimed at destroying the faith of Hindus could result in the arrest of Hindu saints and religious leaders. These anti-Hindu laws framed by the Maharashtra government are an attempt to destroy the Hindu Dharma systematically. Dr. Durgesh Samant, the National Convenor of the HJS stated that byattending this public meeting Hindus were unleashing their anger towards the Congress led UPA for framing anti-Hindu laws. According to him even he attended it out of devotion and not because he was an invitee.

He further said, “Temples have been taken over by the government in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala. Of the 34,000 temples taken over by the Andhra Pradesh government 32,000 are in a hopeless state. It is well known that government take over amounts to corruption and incompetency. Corporations and industries taken over by the government till date are running in debt. That is why eventually they had to be privatised. When all this is so obvious why is the government bent upon on taking over our temples? Only because they are eyeing our temple treasuries! The HJS is and has been opposing government take over of temples not only in Maharashtra but in the entire country. Realising that God is on our side each one of us should vehemently oppose this anti-Hindu law.

Many great leaders in this country have sacrificed their lives for this country. It is the need of the hour that every Hindu comes forward to protect his Dharma. The existence of the world is dependent on Dharma. But in present times when people have drifted from their path, some people are doing despicable job of keeping away people from Dharma. To regain its past glory for Hindustan, the first step is Dharma-jagruti and therefore, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has taken up this task.

On the recommendations of 15th law Commission, the State Government is trying to pass Act to take over all temples. It is very disgraceful on the part of the Government. Today, Hindu Dharma is in danger and Hindu Dharma in danger means the nation is in danger. There are efforts to convert tribals. We must realize that when one person converts, one enemy of Hindu Dharma is increased. Therefore, it is necessary to create awareness among people towards their Dharma (Dharma-jagruti).

There are many countries in this world. But none of the people treat their land as their mother. There is only one country in the whole world where people calls their land as motherland. We say ‘Bharat mata’. Our country is based on Dharma and sanskruti (Righteousness and Culture). But peole are at work to divide this land. In Southern parts of India, there is missionaries’ menace. Tribal areas in Satpura range are going under the control of missionaries. There are conversions taking place on a very large scale. Such despicable job is never done by Hindus. Hindus work towards bringing people together and not towards their division. This task is undertaken by HJS and therefore, Warakari Sampradaya is participating in HJS activities.

We have to work hard to sustain our great Indian culture because if culture exists then exists the country. Sanskruti creates ‘sanskars’. Hindus should, therefore, realize the significance of their Dharma. If light is extinguished, house gets engulfed in darkness. Likewise if Dharma receives a jolt, there will be darkness everywhere.

This base action of the government is nothing but an attempt to take the present day unstable man further away from religion. The ulterior motive of these politicians is selfish, to lead the country in another direction. The politicians had better not test the patience of Hindus. All over the country other religions are converting Hindus by luring them. This not only reduces one Hindu but also increases one enemy. In opposition to this, forsaking their feeble attitude Hindus should perform appropriate actions  in the time to come otherwise time will not forgive them. Every Hindu youth should strive to restore its lost glory to Hinduism and its followers. During his address, President of the Warkari sect, H.B.P. Prakash Maharaj Javanjal assured that his organization would play a significant role in the activities of the HJS.

[pagebreak title=’O Hindus, prepare yourself to sacrifice your life for Hinduism!’] O Hindus, prepare yourself to sacrifice your life for Hinduism:   Harachandsing Saggu

History reveals that as and when there were attacks on religion, Sikhs and Hindus sacrificed their lives in retaliation. O Hindus be prepared to fight the laws framed against religion and even give up your life for the cause. This is what the President of the Gurudwara Gurunanak Darbar Charitable Trust; Shri Harachandsing Saggu urged the public when addressing the meeting at Panvel.

When the Mughals attacked India, along with Hindus the Sikhs combated them, even became martyrs for the cause. The Congress led government in Maharashtra today is no different from the Mughal rulers. Temples and gurudwaras are meant for imparting religious education. The attempt of the Maharashtra government to take over temples proves that they are now paupers. How dare the government interfere with temples? He concluded his speech saying that all of us need to retaliate against this unitedly.

[pagebreak title=’Hinduism is being attacked through the medium of anti-Hindu laws!’] Hinduism is being attacked through the medium of anti-Hindu laws:  H.H. Abanandagiri Maharaj

Anti-Hindu laws are being used to attack Hinduism and we all need to unite to make Hindus aware of this fact. We can achieve this target of getting these bills scrapped by uniting all families to create one big family. The government is trying to steal temple treasuries to run its administration. The faith of people is being attacked in different ways and their sentiments are being hurt. These bills are being thrust upon us as part of a plan by them, is what H.H. Abanandagiri Maharaj of Vairaat said in his address at Taloja.

[pagebreak title=’Government’s attempt to destroy the faith of Hindus by taking over their temples!’] Government’s attempt to destroy the faith of Hindus by taking over their temples:  Balvinder Singh

This government policy of take over of temples is very similar to that of the Mughals. By taking over Hindu and Jain temples and gurudwaras their aim is to destroy our faith. Only Hindus can teach ‘how to preserve righteousness’ that is why the government should not make attempts to interfere in these issues. Sikhs have always been with and shall remain with Hindus. All Hindus need to do is beckon us Sikhs and we will run to support them is what Shri Balvinder Singh, Vazir of the Kalamboli Gurudwara proclaimed when addressing the crowds.
