I didn’t interfere to implicate Sanatan Sanstha in Margao blast case : Ravi Naik, former Congress Min

Ponda (Goa) : Goa police have conducted proper inquiry in Margao bomb blast case. I have fulfilled my duty as the State Home Minister. The information given to me by police as per FIR was the base for my making statement of Sanatan Sanstha’s involvement in this case. Accusation of my interfering to implicate Sanatan Sanstha in this case is baseless. The above explanation was given by former Congress Home Minister of Goa, Ravi Naik on 17^th January 2014 in a press conference held at Ponda. (If he has not interfered, will Ravi Naik demand for taking action against the concerned police who prepared false FIR against Sanatan Sanstha and its seekers ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

The special Court has acquitted Sanatan’s 6 seekers in Margao bomb blast case and the judge has clearly stated in his verdict that police prepared false FIR to incriminate Sanatan Sanstha. Former minister Ravi Naik misused police for harassing Sanatan Sanstha, by asking them to conduct inquiry in wrong direction; therefore, Goa police and Ravi Naik should render apology to Sanatan Sanstha, was the demand made by Sanatan. Former minister, Ravi Naik held press conference to give reply to this demand. He said, “I am unnecessarily accused of interfering in the inquiry of Margao bomb blast case. In fact, when it was accused that there was political interference, I handed over investigations to National Investigating Agency (NIA). I have good relations with Minister of Public Works Department, Shri. Sudin Dhavalikar. We are on good terms with each other; therefore, it is wrong to say that I implicated Sanatan Sanstha to take political revenge against Shri. Sudin Dhavalikar. (People know the truth so such claims will have no effect. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) We got a written proof of Malgonda Patil, who died in bomb blast at Margao, being a seeker of Sanatan Sanstha. On that basis, I have made a statement of Sanatan’s involvement in the case. (How can a person, dying in blast, be involved in carrying out that blast? People dying in several bomb blasts in Mumbai and at other places have been compensated by the Government. Did the then Congress Government in Goa give or even declare such compensation to families of the dead ? If a person dying in blast was a seeker, why should inquiry be conducted against that Sanstha ? There are numerous workers of Congress with criminal mentality; so when they commit an offence, is the office of Congress party raided ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Population of minority community is more in Margao. Such blast could have led to communal riots; therefore, police took the issue very seriously. (Means what did they do ? They went to Sanatan ashram at odd hours and harassed seekers ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) False accusations are made against me to end my political career. If Sanatan Sanstha wants to file case against me for getting compensation; they are welcomed to do so. I will give proper reply through my advocate.”

Goa police have done their duty very well; but NIA did not do the job properly, said Ravi Naik in an answer to a question. (On the contrary, the Court has clearly stated that Goa police have prepared wrong FIR to incriminate Sanatan Sanstha. Does Ravi Naik think that he is wiser than the Court ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) He also said in answer to a question that decision of challenging this verdict in higher Court is to be taken by NIA.

Ravi Naik does not invite ‘Sanatan Prabhat’s reporter to attend the press conference

Ravi Naik held a press conference at Ponda to explain his side; but did not invite reporter of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ although its head office is at Ramnathi.

Sanatan Sanstha had held a press conference at Panaji which is a Capital of Goa and all senior reporters are available there; besides reporters of national news channels. Naik, however, held such conference at Ponda to avoid queries of these reporters and presented his side before the local journalists. Such discussions were going on amongst reporters from Panaji.
