Security forces in Jammu & Kashmir foiled yet another infiltration bid in Jammu & Kashmir’s Tangdhar sector of Kupwara district along the LoC. Forces have also arrested two Pakistani terrorists who were trying to infiltrate into Indian territory.

“Based on specific intelligence inputs, Army established cordon and surveillance points near LoC. The terrorists were challenged and overpowered by troops on Monday,” a defence spokesman said in Srinagar.

He said one pistol, two magazines, ammunition and identity card issued by Pakistan occupied Kashmir were among various items recovered from the terrorists.

The terrorists were later handed over to local police, he added.

Earlier on Monday, a BSF jawan was injured when Pakistani troops again violated the ceasefire. The Pakistani troops opened fire on forward area along India-Pakistan border in Samba district of Jammu & Kashmir.
