Barshi (Dist. Solapur) – Miss Diksha Rode (Age 19 years), worker of HJS from here beat a youth teasing her. (Congratulations to Miss Diksha Rode of HJS teaching a lesson to the youth teasing her by beating him. ! – Editor, Dainik, Sanatan Prabhat) Miss Dikasha is studying in Shivaji College here. She participates in the mission of Ranaragini branch of HJS. She has undergone training in self-defence given by HJS. One youth was harassing her for the last 3 months. He used to pass from the front of her residence continuously. Seeing Miss Diksha near the college, he used to pass filthy remarks. Miss Diksha reported this matter to her mother, Sau. Damayanti Rode. Sau. Rode scolded that youth; yet he did not stop teasing Miss Rode. Therefore when he came again to tease, Miss Dikasha caught hold of his bicycle and took charge of its key. She caught hold of his shirt and dragged him about 150 metres. Later she took him to the college while beating him on the way to the principal of the college.
That youth was piteously uttering sister, sister. Miss Diksha beat him with a belt. Thereafter the principal called police from the police station and handed over that youth to them. While explaining about the incident, Miss Diksha said that, before taking this action, I had prayed to God to let me take whichever action was appropriate. Hence I was not scared while acting like this. (To have such moral courage sadhana is the only thing, is proved by this incident !
