HJS creates awareness towards the issue in Air India and Central Cultural Department !

Mumbai – National Gallery of Modern Art has organized a huge exhibition jointly with Air India and Central Cultural Department under the theme of ‘Bow to Indian Scholars’. The exhibition is being held at New Delhi from 17th to 21st August 2013. Paintings on ‘Bharatmata’ and indecent paintings of Hindu Deities by Hindu-hater artist M F Husain have also been included in the exhibition. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has, therefore, written a letter to Air India and National Gallery of Modern Art advising them to immediately stop glorification of Husain in the field of Art.

Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, the Coordinator of HJS has stated in a letter written to Pro. Rajeev Lochan, the Director of National Art Gallery that Husain had hurt religious sentiments of Hindus by drawing extremely obscene and perverted paintings of Hindu Deities. He also drew ‘Bharatmata’ worshiped by all Indians, in nude; hurting patriotic sentiments of citizens of this country; therefore, it is not in the social interest of people to glorify Husain and his paintings should be immediately withdrawn from the exhibition. Shri. Vatkar has sent a letter to even Director of Air India, a Government undertaking wherein he has said that if glorification of anti-Hindu painter Husain is not stopped, Hindu would boycott your company which will lead to your financial loss.

Devout and patriotic citizens are registering protest on the following address.

Kind Attn:Prof. Rajeev Lochan (Director)

Dear Sirs,

Subject: Request to immediately stop display and sale of paintings of Anti-National and Anti-Hindu painter M F Husain.

This refers to ongoing Exhibition of 'Air India Salutes Indian Masters' whereby paintings of M.F.Husain and other painters are displayed at National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi from 17 August to 1st September 2013. We have high regard for Air India as well as National Gallery of Modern Art. However we are disappointed as you are displaying paintings of Anti-Hindu and Anti-National painter M F Husain. This shows that Government Undertakings are glorifying and assisting an accused person and also hurting religious sentiments of Hindus and National sentiments of Indians.

We would like to bring to your notice that MF Hussain has hurt the Religious and National sentiments of crores of Hindus and Indians through his blasphemous paintings of Hindu deities and Bharat Mata (Mother India). Husain has also not spared animals as he has depicted his cruelty and perversion towards animals by drawing pictures of sexual union between animals and Hindu Goddess and human beings. e.g. He has drawn a painting showing a bull copulating with Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva watching on Mahashivratri, another painting shows Hindu Goddess Durgadevi in sexual union with Lion. This has resulted in promoting enmity between different religious groups and disturbing National integrity and harmony. He was accused of committing offenses under section 2 of the prevention of Insults to National Honour Act.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is a registered NGO doing social, religious and National welfare work. Devoted Hindus doing voluntary charitable work have formed this Samiti. Samiti is active throughout India and educating people about Dharma in scientific way and solving problems connected with National, Religious and social field. Please note that various organizations and Indian citizens are not keen on any exhibition, distribution or sale of any of the paintings of M.F. Husain. A long list of successful campaigns against M.F.Husain can be seen on our website https://www.hindujagruti.org/activities/campaigns/national/mfhussain-campaign/ (e.g. removal of Husain’s paintings from ABN Amro Bank's Credit Card, NGO Khushi's auction of 6 crores of rupees painting, Tao Art Gallery, India International Trade Center (New Delhi) etc.)

In view of above you are requested to immediately stop display and sale of paintings of Anti-National and Anti-Hindu painter M F Husain.

Please acknowledge the receipt of this letter and inform us the action taken in the matter.

Yours Truly,
S.G.Vatkar
