Pakistan brutally killing Sarabjit Singh, an innocent Indian citizen, languishing in Pakistan’s jail for 23 years; Indian Government’s extremly mild policy towards Pakistan and China’s infiltration in Indian territory were the infuriating issues taken up by patriotic citizens through demonstrations. On 4th May, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) staged demonstrations at Mumbai and Panvel joined by patriotc citizens as they strongly condemned the above incidents.

Protest against Pakistan and Indian Governments at Bhandup (Maharashtra)

Bhandup (Maharashtra) : HJS held demonstrations with its activists S/Shri. Satish Sonar, Prasad Vadake, Narendra Durve, spokesperson of ‘Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangha, Dr. Uday Dhuri joined by activists of other pro-Hindu organizations and parties. Slogans were raised to express their fury; similarly, China was also condemned for infiltrating in Indian Territory. Signature drive was undertaken and a letter written to the President by HJS was signed by every citizen coming to the place of demonstrations. 1500 citizens signed the letter. About 70 patriotic citizens including Hindu Rashtra Sena’s Ashish Yadav, Shri. Navnath Patil from New Mumbai, BJP’s Western Maharashtra Coordinator, Shri. Pravin Dahitule participated in the demonstrations.
Highlights :
1] Shri. Ganesh Patil, a shopkeeper closed down his shop to take part in the demonstrations.
2] ‘Vande Mataram’ was sung while concluding the demonstrations when even passersby stopped for paying respect to the national song.
Very furious responses have been received towards Pakistan’s killing Sarabjit Singh. In Thane, Shiv Sena held demonstrations at Tembhi Naka area when an effigy of Pakistan’s President Zardari was hit with shoes and footwears.

Outrage of citizens against impotent rulers
Panvel (Maharashtra) : At Shivaji Chowk, Panvel, HJS and other patriotic organizations held intense demonstrations to condemn impotent and indifferent rulers. About 70 citizens took part in the demonstrations. Shri. Milind Poshe of HJS, Sou. Nandini Surve of its ‘Ranaragini’ Division and Sou. Abhaya Upadhye of Sanatan Sanstha addressed the participants.
