10th Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan : Heralding the Hindu Rashtra !

On the occasion of the ’10th Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan’ organised in Goa from 12th to 18th June, 2022…

Over the last few years, India’s global standing has improved by leaps and bounds. Many, from common patriotic citizens to high-ranking officials have dreamed of making India a superpower; however, it is impossible for this dream to materialise in a ‘secular’ India. India can become a superpower or a world leader only when India becomes a Hindu Rashtra. Unlike Islamic or Christian countries, Hindu Rashtra is not a narrow concept, but a system based on universal welfare, and a sattvik system that is concerned about the worldly and spiritual upliftment of every citizen.

1. Broad concept of Hinduism

In the scripture Merutantra, the word Hindu is defined as ‘Heenam Dushayati Iti Hindu:’ This means that he who destroys his own nefarious or inferior qualities of Raja and Tama is a Hindu. A person with such a sattvik attitude is not self-centred but thinks of universal welfare. History provides us with many examples of this. The Rigveda proclaims – Krunvanto Vishwam Aryam (Let us make the world noble). The concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam has been introduced in the Upanishads. This means that while narrow minded people are self-absorbed, people with a more benevolent nature feel that the entire world is their family. Sant Dnyaneshwar has said ‘he vichwachi majhe ghar’ (the world is my home) in Dnyaneshwari, and He seeks alms for the sake of welfare of the universe in His prayer ‘Pasaydaan’. The idea of ‘Hindu Rashtra’ is based on this benevolent concept. So understanding the basis of this concept will automatically resolve any objections to the Hindu Rashtra.

2. Need for Hindu Rashtra

India, in fact, has been a Hindu Rashtra by default. In 1947, India was partitioned along religious lines and the adherents of Islam were given Pakistan, an Islamic country. At the same time, the rest of Hindustan should have been declared a ‘Hindu Rashtra’, but that did not happen. On the contrary, during the state of Emergency in 1976, the then Congress Government stifled the opposition and amended the Constitution to insert the word ‘secular’. The word ‘secular’ has not yet been officially defined! As a result, till date the secular credentials have been used for the blatant appeasement of minorities and the suppression of Hindus. If India can be unjustly declared a ‘secular’ country by amending the Constitution, then why can’t India be declared a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ by amending the Constitution again ?

3. Increasing atrocities on Hindus

Despite the change of power at the Centre today, the attacks on Hindus have not abated. Many non-Muslim girls are falling prey to ‘love jihad’. Devout-Hindu activists like Kamlesh Tiwari, Chandan Gupta and Harsha are being killed. Hindu women and girls like Lavanya in Tamil Nadu are losing their lives under pressure from the conversion mafia. Global toolkits on issues like the hijab and farmers’ agitation are disseminated to defame India and Hindutva. Modern forms of jihad like ‘Spit jihad’ and ‘Narcotics jihad’ are cropping up. Hindu Gods and Goddesses are being slandered to evoke laughter in comedy shows. Kashmiri Hindus are still waiting to be rehabilitated, 32 years after they fell prey to Jihadi terror. Although repealing Article 370 has made it easier for Kashmiri Hindus to return to Kashmir, it is still not a safe option. Hindu Rashtra is the only option to curb the atrocities against Hindus in Hindu-majority India.

4. National crises

Today, Hindus have become a minority in 9 States of India. There is a demand for a separate Khalistan from Punjab and also Dravidistan in Tamil Nadu. States like Kerala and West Bengal witness rampant anti-Hindu and anti-national activities. Millions of Bangladeshi illegals have infiltrated Assam. The conspiracy to create a parallel Islamic economy through the ‘halal’ economy stands exposed. Why is the nation facing such crises ? This is because the state governance has alienated itself from its lifeline – the principles of Sanatan Dharma. For these reasons, it is necessary to establish Hindu Rashtra along the lines of Hindavi Swarajya (Hindu self rule set up by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj).

5. Material progress must be complemented with spiritual progress

Today, the country is taking steps towards development; but in order for society and nation-building to be ideal, material progress as well as spiritual progress are necessary. Everyone experienced the limitations of scientific progress during the Covid19 pandemic. Therefore, if we want to achieve sustainable development, we have no choice but to take refuge in Spirituality and Sanatan Dharma. We have many outstanding examples of Dharma-based States, which give us a glimpse of what Hindu Rashtra will look like. Along with material progress, there should be an effort to uplift the society which will benefit from that progress. This can be achieved with an ideal social structure which can come about when the society comprises of citizens with an ideal personality who strive for spiritual development. For this, the Hindu Rashtra must materialise in India. The All India Hindu Rashtra Convention has been organised to discuss, provide direction and mobilize everyone in this direction.

6. Outcome of the Adhiveshan

Over 9 years, the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan has played a significant role in conveying the concept of Hindu Rashtra to the masses, in mobilizing devout-Hindu and patriotic organisations to work towards Hindu Rashtra, and in uniting devout Hindus. The term ‘Hindu Rashtra’ which was an anathema a few years ago, is being openly discussed everywhere today. In a way, this is the outcome of the ‘Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan’. The nation is set to celebrate the 75th year of Independence. The heart of every patriot knows that India would start taking giant strides towards being a global superpower and a Vishwaguru if India were to be declared a Hindu Rashtra.
