Online webinar on ‘Conspiracy to spread a propaganda against Shriram Temple’

Land worth Rs. 34 crore for Shriram Temple in Ayodhya acquired for Rs 18.5 crore; no scam in land acquisition – Dr. Vishwambharnath Arora, Senior Journalist, Times Group

To construct the Shriram Temple in Ayodhya in a rectangular shape was having problems. So nearby land was purchased. It is alleged that the land worth Rs. 2 crore was bought for Rs. 18.5 crore. The value of that land was Rs 2 crore in the year 2011. That amount was increasing every year. In the year 2019, when the decision of the Supreme Court came in favour of Shriram Temple, the rates of all the lands here doubled. If the Government had bought the land at market price, the Government would have had to pay Rs. 34 crore; however, at the request of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, the amount was reduced to Rs 18.5 crore. Therefore, there was no scam in land purchase, said a senior journalist of the Times group Mr. Vishwambharnath Arora. He was speaking at an online special webinar on ‘Conspiracy to spread a propaganda of Shriram Temple’ organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. The programme was viewed live by 3,300 people on Samiti’s website Hindujagruti.org, YouTube and Twitter.

Speaking on the occasion, National Spokesperson of Vishva Hindu Parishad Mr. Vinod Bansal said, “Only because the facts presented by Mr. Arora were fully known to the local people, the allegation of land purchase scam was foiled in three days. If the allegations were true, why did those accusing not go to the Supreme Court ? Why did they not register an offence in this case ? Basically, only those who consider Shriram to be mythological are opposing the construction of Ram temple with a distorted mentality. However, the anti-national ‘tool-kit’ is now being exposed. The Shriram Temple for which 60 crore people in India who have donated Rs 3,500 crore will be built by the grace of Shriram”.

Explaining the reason behind this conspiracy, the Head of Central office of ‘Sanskrutik Gaurav Sansthan’ Mr. Sanjeev Pundir said, “Next year, Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh will be held. At a time when the Aam Aadmi Party does not exist in Uttar Pradesh, the party’s MP has made these allegations. Those who make false allegations against respected Champat Rai will never be forgiven. A defamation suit should be filed against him in the Court”. Delhi Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Mr. Kartik Salunke said “The alleged scam is an excuse; the purpose is to stop the work of the temple. There is a gang of people who are obstructing the work of the temple, suspending it and misleading the people. What right do people who were opposed to the Ram Temple all their lives for appeasing the minorities have any right to make allegations about the Ram Mandir ? These people said to have offered Rs. 100 crore to Paramahansadas Maharaj of the Tapasvi Chhavani to support the charges which also needs to be investigated.
