Vasco : Local residents drive away Christian group distributing handbills on ‘Healing Prayers’ !

Handbills on ‘Healing Prayers’ distributed by a group of Christians even during lockdown in Vasco area !

It has been once again proved by this incident that even in the period of crisis, Christians always try to propagate their religion and convert people who are facing some difficulties or the other.

Vasco : It was observed that even in this period of lockdown imposed due to Corona pandemics, a group of Christians was distributing handbills of ‘Healing Prayers’ in the Vasco area. This infuriating incident took place about a month ago at Sada-Vasco and local residents therefore, drove away members of that group; but it is felt that similar incidents might be taking place at other places in Vasco area. Demand is being made with police that they should foil this attempt of creating communal disharmony.

About a month ago, few women along with school going children came to Sada-Vasco and started distributing handbills with printed healing prayers printed, claiming to be protection from Corona. This group had women from Bayna and Zuarinagar. From the way these women were speaking in Konkani, the local residents felt that they were from Goa; however, as those residents realised that distribution of handbills with healing prayers was a kind of attempt of conversion; they drove away the group. There is a demand made in the area that police should immediately try to put curb on such things as similar groups of women might take advantage of the lockdown situation and go to other areas of Vasco for distributing such handbills for getting cured from Corona and it can create communal disharmony.
