#Censor_Web_Series becomes top trend as demand to regulate web series intensify

From last few month, many Web series on various platforms such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, Alt Balaji etc. are in news and mostly for all wrong reasons. Many of the web series and movies released on these OTT platforms promote nudity, violence and abusive language. Many of them even demean Hindus, Hindu Dharma, Hindu deities and Hindu practices in all possible ways. Few Web Series have even insulted India and Indian Army too.

Participate in theSignature Campaign : Appeal to set up a regulatory authority for Web Series !

Today many Hindus and nationalists started tweeting with hashtag #Censor_Web_Series as incidents of insult and mocked of Hindu Dharma and nation are increasing, and hence to intensify demand to regulate OTT platforms and Web Series. Around 4.20 pm the said hashtag was trending in top 30 Twitter trends in India and in next few minutes, it became top national trend in India. It remained on top spot for more than 2 hours and was in first 5 trends at the time of writing this report.

Many have urged Hon. Prakash Javadekar, Cabinet minister for I&B to take immediate steps to set up a regulatory authority for OTT platforms, like Censor Board regulates TV and movies.
