Amid calls for ban, I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar seeks report on ‘Bigg Boss 13’

Salman Khan’s show Bigg Boss 13 has been under the scanner ever since it commenced two weeks back. The concept of ‘Bed Friends Forever’, where housemates have to share their bed with another housemate, has been dissed by many organizations.

Rajasthan-based Karni Sena, who had infamously attacked the sets of Padmaavat, claiming that the movie is distorting history, reportedly filed the complaint to Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar, complaining that Bigg Boss is insulting Hindu culture and traditions.

Javadekar was asked about an update on banning the show, when he showed up at an event in Pune recently. In response, he stated, “I have asked Ministry officials for a report on what is being shown (on the Big Boss show). We will be getting the report this week.”

Not only Karni Sena, but also Confederation Of All India Traders (CAIT), have demanded a ban on the show and protested for the same. 20 people who were protesting were arrested from outside Salman Khan’s house too, and his security was tightened.
