Denigration of Lakshmi-Gauri stopped due to awareness created by Hindu activists

Congratulations to devout Hindus who worked for prevention of denigration of Deities and even to shop-owners for rectifying their mistakes on bringing them to their notice ! All Hindus should learn from this incident and take active part in preventing denigration of Deities !

Bhor (Dist. Pune) : On the occasion of ‘Gauri-pujan’, masks of Lakshmi-Gauri and their idols were kept on sale at ‘Sharda Dresses’ shop of readymade clothes in Mangalwar Peth. These idols were dressed up in different modern frocks, tops, maxi-gowns and ‘churidar’ etc. On observing this, Shri. Vinayak Sanas, a devout Hindu, Shri. Vishwajit Chavan of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Professor Vitthal Jadhav of Sanatan Sanstha met Shri. Vinayak Gujar, the owner of that shop and explained to him about denigration of Lakshmi-Gauri taking place in his shop. He was also explained how denigration of Deities could lead to drawing wrath of Deity. Shri. Gujar understood the matter in right perspective and he promised to dress up idols of Lakshmi-Gauri in his shop in ‘sattvika’ attire like sari. It was later seen that he had kept his promise by replacing modern clothes of Deities.
