Impose ban on porn-sites and websites operating in ‘online’ prostitution business : HJS

Drive undertaken by HJS for prevention of evil tendencies in society

Why such demand has to be made ?

Panaji : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted representation to the District Collector of North Goa on 10th April with various demands such as imposition of ban on porn-sites and indecent websites involved in ‘on line’ prostitution business so also for transparent pipes for filling up fuel at petrol pumps. The delegation of HJS submitting representation to the District Collector comprised of Shri. Gopal Bandiwad and Shri. Keshav Chodankar of HJS; Shri. Dayanand Malkarni of Sanatan Sanstha and Shri. Tulshidas Chopadekar, a devout Hindu.

It was stated in the representation that there has been huge increase in the incidents of sexual exploitation of women and minor children. One of the main reasons for the same is watching porn sites and indecent websites carrying on ‘on line’ prostitution business. Similarly, several web series are shown which are full of vulgarity, immorality and crimes; but there is no control of any kind over them. Ban should therefore, be imposed on such anti-social porn sites, indecent websites and websites running ‘on line’ prostitution business and there should be restraints on such web series. In another representation submitted on the occasion, it was stated that as done in case of milk, there was adulteration even in fuel and cheating in quantity of fuel filled at petrol pumps. It was found many times that alterations were carried out in dispensing units of fuel at various petrol pumps in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh; besides adulteration in petrol. Such incidents have created insecurity and lack of trust amongst consumers; therefore, pipes used for filling up fuel at petrol pumps should be transparent so that consumer would know whether fuel was actually flowing through the pipes. Stringent action should be taken against such petrol pump operators; besides cancelling their licence.
