Kolhapur(Maharashtra) : Theft took place in the temples of Sri Renuka Devi and Datta Mandir in Kasba Bawda in the night. Two eyes of the idol of Devi made of gold, a crown, 2 mangal-sutras and few silver utensils were stolen by the thieves. Two donation boxes have also been broken in Datta Mandir. Police had not registered the incidents of thefts in the police station till evening. (Police give no importance to the incidents of theft occurring in Hindu temples. Have they received unwritten orders to that effect from the secular Government? Such police have no right to take salary from the tax paid by Hindus out of their hard earned money. – Editor SP)
