‘Those, who do Sadhana and do Dharmaseva without expectations, are true Sadhus !’

Prayagraj (Kumbhanagari) : We can work for welfare of people only if we leave our desires by coming to ‘Kumbh-Mela’. Nobody can be a ‘Sadhu’ only because he is dressed like one. No ‘sadhana’ can happen by smoking cannabis, drug-addictions etc. ‘Sadhana’ can happen only when we are without vices and our mind is pure. Vices will not help in God realization. Earning money here as an occupation and then using it for own addictions is not a sign of Sadhu. We can undertake ‘sadhana’ even staying at home with family, was the guidance given by Sri Sri 1008 Mahamandaleshwar Rambhushandas Maharaj of Vrundavan. He was speaking in a program held at Sanatan Sanstha’s book exhibition in Kumbhanagari, on ‘Facebook live’. The topic of the program was ‘How to recognize quack and heretic ‘Sadhus-Saints’. Shri. Vishwanath Kulkarni, State Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Uttar Pradesh and Bihar did compeering of the ‘sabha’.

Sadguru (Dr.) Charudatta Pingale, national Guide of HJS said, “True ‘Sadhus’ are gone beyond any kind of praise or criticism. Few ‘Sadhus’ behave indecently with women while some ‘Sadhus’ keep on appeasing politicians whereas some talk about ‘Sarva-Dharma-Sama-Bhava’; but have no feelings towards other Sects, is the position these days. By imparting ‘Dharmashikshan’ to devotees, they will be able to know the difference between a real ‘Sadhu’ and a quack. Refuting charges leveled by heretics is protection of Dharma.”

We create awareness among people for recognizing true ‘Sadhus’ ! – Abhay Vartak

Shri. Abhay Vartak, Sanatan Sanstha’s ‘Dharmaprasarak’ said, “We are creating awareness amongst people for recognizing true ‘Sadhus’. Saints should create such awareness in ‘Kumbh-Mela’ towards quack ‘Sadhus’. In fact, complaint should be lodged of such quack ‘Sadhus’ with ‘Aakhadaa Parishad’, for indulging in wrong things. Many devotees have been looted by such quack ‘Sadhus’ in ‘Kumbha’. HJS has published a book titled ‘Pakhandi Sadhu Sant Tatha Maharaj’ for creating such awareness amongst devotees.”
