People should overthrow rulers who do not fulfill their promises : Puri Shankaracharya

Kumbh Mela 2019

Sanatan Sanstha and HJS felicitate Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati, Peethadhishwar, Govardhan Puri !

Prayagraj (Kumbhnagari) : Presently incidents of insulting learned Brahmins, cow-slaughter and various attacks on Hindus are taking place not because of this generation but our rulers are responsible for the same. People elect their representatives and send them to Parliament. These representatives betray people by not fulfilling promises made to them; therefore, people should overthrow such representatives, was the view expressed by Govardhan Puri Peethadhishwar Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati on 27th January when Sadguru (Dr.) Charudatta Pingale, national Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) felicitated him and presented a shawl, garland and ‘sreephal’ at Sector 15 in ‘Kumbh-Mela’, on behalf of Sanatan Sanstha and HJS. Shri. Chetan Rajhans, Sanatan Sanstha’s national spokesperson was also present on the occasion; besides 60 Sadhus and devotees.

Shankaracharya Swami Nishchalananda Saraswati said,

1. Hindus are very clever. They say ‘It is God’s wish or destiny’ whenever some incident occurs; though reality is different.

2. Rulers promise that cow-slaughter would be stopped; but they don’t keep their word. Even people do not take them to task on such issues; therefore, there is rise in incidents of cow-slaughtering.

3. People should ask for explanation from the rulers for not fulfilling promises when they come to their constituencies. At such time, the elected representatives have to tell the truth to people; but they tell lies to defend themselves at other places.
