Govt.’s notice for demolition of Hanuman Temple at Dadar

Mumbai: The Municipal Administration, which assures security to places of worship of followers of other religions, has stuck a notice on the wall of the old Hanuman temple at Dadar about its demolition. (Municipal administration that is targeting Hindu temples, is anti-Hindu ! The Municipal Corporation has given a 15 days notice to the trustees of this temple to present relevant papers. Why then is it in such a hurry to take action? – Editor SP) Therefore, Shiv Sainiks held ‘Maha-aarti’ and expressed their displeasure. (It has been observed that Hindus perform ‘Maha-aarti’ for their just demands; but the Administration does not care for their feelings; whereas demands of followers of other religions who take to violence are immediately taken notice of. In future, therefore, if Hindus also resort to violence; the Administration will be solely responsible for the same ! – Editor SP)

Mr. Vinayak Raut, the Secretary of Shiv Sena said that such ‘Maha-aartis’ would be performed in all temples in Mumbai to oppose the Municipal Corporation. (This is another example of only Shiv Sena taking up the issues related to religious matters of Hindus ! – Editor SP) The temple was built in the year 1920 with the initiative of Prabodhankar Thackeray at ‘Kabutarkhana’.

In the year 1952, it was registered as a trust. The relevant papers are available. Pruthviraj Chavan, the Chief Minister had assured the delegation of Catholic Church that no action would be taken against the church built prior to 1965; however, the Municipal Corporation has stuck a notice on the walls of 90 years old temple. (The Prime Minister had earlier said that Muslims have the right on this country above all others. Is the Chief Minister following the foot-steps of PM and showing that minorities have the first right as that is what his action indicates. Hindus must unite to fight against this injustice ! – Editor SP) Hindus were agitated and asking that why only Hindu temples were being targeted assuring security to non-Hindus. Many Hindus participated in the ‘Maha-aarti’ in the evening.
