Shankaracharya Swami Swarupanand Saraswati to go to Ayodhya for laying foundation stone of Ram Mandir

After ‘Kumbh Mela’, I will go to Ayodhya for laying foundation stone of Ram Mandir : Shankaracharya Swami Shri Swarupanand Saraswatiji Maharaj

Prayagraj (Kumbhnagari) : No political party can construct Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, be it BJP or be it Congress. I will go to Ayodhya after ‘Kumbh Mela’ and lay foundation-stone for construction of Ram-Mandir, stated ‘Jyotish and Dwarka-Sharada Peethadhishwar’ Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Swarupanand Saraswati Maharaj. He was replying to the questions asked by journalists in Shri Manakameshwar Mandir. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has made a statement of possibility of supporting Congress if it promised to construct Ram-Mandir. Shankaracharya was expressing his views on such stand.

Shankaracharya said further that

1. We have no connection with Congress. I do not belong to any party. All political parties are same for me. Political parties and Government of India have taken an oath to follow secular Constitution. How can they then, build temple? It is cheating even if Congress or BJP makes statement on constructing Ram Mandir and this people need to realize.

2. Reporters asked whether he would go to Ayodhya for construction of Ram-Mandir, Shankaracharya said, “Yes, I will be going to Ayodhya after ‘Kumbh Mela’ for laying foundation-stone of Ram-Mandir. Foundation-stone has not yet been laid at ‘Ram Janmabhoomi’. We shall do it. Our holy scriptures tell us about the science and method of laying foundation-stone and we shall follow it.”
