We shall acquire God’s grace if we work for protection of Dharma : Adv. (Sou.) Aparna Kulkarni

Meeting held by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS)

Dapoli : Hindus are not abiding by Dharma owing to lack of ‘Dharmashikshan’ and there is no awareness in them towards Dharma matters. They are, therefore, ignorant towards various attacks on Dharma. Hindus need to unite for protection of Dharma but there is apathy amongst Hindus towards the same. There is change in ideology due to change in education system from ‘Gurukul’ to Macaulay’s education system. Education in English as medium has increased materialism. Importance is given to individual’s freedom. ‘Sanskars’ have been eliminated due to lack of ‘Dharma-shikshan’. Malpractices in celebrating religious festivals have increased. Deities are denigrated at many places and offerings made by Hindu devotees out of faith and devotion are misused owing to temples being taken over by the Government. Hindus need to study matters related to their Dharma if the above things are to be stopped and they should unite for protection of Dharma. Dharma means God. If we try to protect Dharma, we shall acquire His grace, stated advocate (Sou.) Aparna Kulkarni during a meeting organized by HJS on 2nd December at Shri Sapteshwar Temple, Panchanadi in the taluka. Advocate (Sou.) Aparna Kulkarni also explained the importance of applying ‘Tilak’ and ‘kumkum’; celebrating New Year on the day of ‘Gudhi Padva’ instead of celebrating it on the eve of 31stDecember; celebrating birthday as per Hindu ‘tithi’ etc. The meeting was attended by 90 devout Hindus.
