Congratulations to devout Hindu activists for opposing conversion program in lawful manner and getting it cancelled !

Invitation Card printed by ‘City of Hope’

Kalyan : Children’s Day was to be celebrated on the occasion of birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru at Acharya Atre Theatre owned by Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) on 14th November. Few devout Hindu activists came across invitation card printed on the occasion indicating agenda during the program. They realized, it was quite likely of Christians to propagate their religion and convert Hindus during that program. Devout Hindu activists from Kalyan got together and submitted memorandum to Assistant Police Commissioner and Municipal Commissioner of KDMC showing that similar type of offense was already registered in a program held at Kalyan (East). The local administration took a serious note of the same and didn’t grant permission to organizers for holding such program.

1. In the invitation card printed for this program, the name of the program was shown as ‘Rashtriya Bal-Din Mahotsav’; appealing all parents to attend the program with their children.

2. There was also a message on the invitation card which said ‘Jesus has said that let all children come to me; do not stop them.’

3. The name of the program was ‘City of Hope’.

4. Rev. Bhalchandra Kambale (Pune) was the Chief Guest Speaker of this program and Bro. Rajju Kale’s ‘Christian Upasana Bhajan Mandal’, Chembur was to sing devotional songs. Bro. John Mehamya and Sangh, Thane was to present musical program and Sister Salvi (Amaravati) was to perform ‘Puppet Show’.

5. It was said that a collective prayer would be held during the program. An appeal was also made for financial aid.

6. It was stated that ‘All are invited with children and seek blessings of Jesus.’

7. Devout Hindu activists read the invitation card and submitted memorandum; after which the program was cancelled.

8. Few Hindu youth went to Atre theatre in the morning on 14th November to check whether the program was still going to be held in clandestine manner. They met few Christian women in the hall who informed about cancellation of the program.

9. Cell No. given on invitation card was contacted when the person answering the phone said that the program would be held soon.

10. Devout Hindu activists have therefore, realized from all the above facts that possibility of targeting Hindus for conversion to Christianity was not ruled out.

11.Shri. Narendra Pawar, BJP-MLA from Kalyan, BJP’s municipal councilor and Dy. Mayor Sou. Upeksha Bhoir, BJP’s municipal councilor and President of Standing Committee Shri. Rahul Damle played important role in explaining truth behind clandestine conspiracy in the form of program to concerned authorities and for cancellation of the program.

12. Dr. Upendra Dahake, Vice President of BJP- Kalyan city took initiative in this drive in which Shri. Parag Teli, District (PR) Chief of VHP, Shri. Sunil Shetty and Sou. Anju Arora, members of BJP’s district working committee, advocate Shri. Roshan Jagatap, Shri. Anil Tiwari of RSS, Shri. Shubham Govekar and Shri. Ganesh Pawar, ‘Dharkari’ of ‘Shivapratishthan Hindustan’ and Shri. Arun Kulkarni of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti participated.
