Robbery in Sri Vitthal Mandir at Sindhudurga in day time

Magh Shukla Dwadashi, Kaliyug Varsha 5112

Sawantwadi (Maharashtra): Donation box was stolen from Sri Vitthal – Rakhumai Mandir of Kamaleveer Village in Sawantwadi taluka in the morning of Thursday. On 10th February, the priest of the temple who stays nearby, went to the temple to perform ‘puja’ around 9.30 – 10.00 a.m. when he realized theft of donation box. A woman, who sells fish, had seen two persons coming on a motorcycle around that time.

No complaint has yet been lodged against the theft. (Hindus should at least show some sensitivity towards such attacks on their places of worship and lodge a complaint with the police. How can they be called devotees if they are not even ready to lodge a complaint despite theft taking place in the temple? – Editor SP) This is the 6th incident in Sawantwadi taluka of stealing of donation boxes from temples.
