Idol of Sree Bhavani Devi denigrated at Pune

Pune (Maharashtra) : Jai Bhavani Mitra Mandal had installed an idol of Sree Bhavani Devi at Taljai about ten years back and they celebrate the festival every year. The idol has been kept in a road-side shade. On Monday, it was noticed that the idol was denigrated which created tension in the area. (Hindu temples were not safe during the regime of the Mughals about 350 years ago and similar condition prevails even now. Hindus should keep Chhatrapati Shivaraya as their ideal to bring about a change in the conditions. – Editor SP) A complaint has been lodged with the police station against unknown miscreants, by Mr. Bhaskar Patole, the President of the ‘Mandal’ in this regard.
