Unnecessary attempts to harass ‘Hindutvavadis’ : Sunil Ghanwat, HJS

‘ABP Maza’ holds debate on ‘Once again Saffron terrorism ?’ during its evening session

Mumbai : It is observed from the action taken by police so far that it is an attempt to unnecessarily harass ‘Hindutvavadis’. Shri. Vaibhav Raut has fought for protection of cows in lawful manner. Police’s ill-timed action against such sincere activist seems suspicious. Officers of anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) came to take action; but Shri. Raut’s family was not given any intimation about the same. Even after Malegaon bomb blast, innocent ‘Hindutvavadis’ were implicated; therefore, Raut’s arrest looks like repetition of Malegaon case, stated Shri. Sunil Ghanwat, the State Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) while participating in debate program held by ‘ABP Maza’ news channel in its evening session on the topic ‘Once again saffron terrorism?’ When terrorists like Kasab, Burhan Wani, Afzal etc. are arrested, nobody condemns terrorism; but when Hindus are caught, everyone starts condemning, said Shri. Ghanwat. The program was hosted by ‘ABP Maza’s Namrata Wagle.

Shri. Diptesh Patil from ‘Hindu Gou-vansh Raksha Samiti’, retired, Joint Police Commissioner Y. C. Pawar, Sanatan Sanstha’s national spokesperson, Shri. Chetan Rajhans, Shri. Sunil Ghanwat of HJS and Gulzar Azmi, who had extended legal aid in Malegaon bomb blast case, participated in this debate.

Appeal made by Shri. Ghanwat to ‘ABP Maza’ !

I request that titles like ‘saffron terrorism’ should not be used for debate sessions because such concept doesn’t exist.

Views expressed by participating dignitaries

Shri. Vaibhav Raut, who has always followed lawful path, is innocent : Shri. Diptesh Patil, Hindu Gou-vansh Raksha Samiti

1. Shri. Vaibhav Raut has so far lodged 37 complaints against cow-slaughtering at Nala Sopara. He always took action in lawful manner; therefore, Shri. Vaibhav Patil’s doing any illegal thing seems to be quite unlikely.

2. ATS police officers came to his house; but no ‘Panchnama’ was done there; therefore, police action seems to be suspicious.

Candid statements made by Shri. Diptesh Patil !

1. Shri. Y. C. Pawar asked Shri. Patil while he was speaking during the session, “Police went there at late night but what were you doing there at that time?” Shri. Patil told him, “For injustice done to Muslims in other countries, Muslims in India came together at Azad Maidan and staged riots; so even after persecution, didn’t Muslims unite in India ?”

2. Retired Joint Police Commissioner Y C Pawar commented that there were few good officers in police department. Shri. Diptesh Patil asked, “How could one be sure that only those good officers came to Nala Sopara?”

Whole system is anti-Hindu : Chetan Rajhans, national spokesperson, Sanatan Sanstha

“The whole system has become anti-Hindu and we have been experiencing it; therefore, we feel it is repetition of Malegaon case.”
