Respect National Flag drive by HJS at various places in Maharashtra

In Mumbai, more than 500 people were explained the issue of ‘Maintaining honour of National Flags and Good Governance !   

Mumbai : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held various drives under its campaign of creating awareness towards maintaining honour of national flags; such as holding lectures, exhibition of ‘flex’-boards with relevant matter, self-defence demos etc. on the occasion of Independence Day. More than 500 people in Mumbai learnt about how to maintain honour of national flags and what is meant by good governance.

Virar

Flag-hoisting program was held by ‘Vishnu Vihar Welfare Association (VVWA)’ from Manavelpada in Virar (East) where Shri. Pandharinath Pawar, a soldier from Maratha Battalion of Indian Army hoisted the flag. He was one of the members of team that carried out surgical strike. Shri. Prasad Kale of HJS spoke about the present condition of independent Bharat, sacrifices made by revolutionaries and maintaining honour of national flags; followed with Vaishali Bhandare and Hemant Pujare staging demo on self-defence. Shri. Ravikant Tendulkar, the President of VVWA and its dy. Secretary Sunil Ambre had organized this program. President Tendulkar said that getting trained in self-defence was the need of the hour and HJS activists were nicely explaining it through such demos.

Highlights

1. In a program held by ‘Sahyadrinagar Ganeshotsav Mitra Mandal’ last year, HJS had sung all stanzas of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’. Taking inspiration from the same, children sang the national song in same way this year.

2. Residents of ‘Sahyadrinagar Ganeshotsav Mandal’ and ‘Shri Ganesh Mitra Mandal’ watched the demo on self-defence despite continuous rain and even requested HJS for conducting of self-defence classes.

Prabhadevi

Shri. Rahul Patekar gave guidance on the subject at ‘J.K. Sports Club and Vikas Krida Mandal’, ‘Vani chi Chawl’, Prabhadevi. Sou. Meghana Sagavekar sang full ‘Vande Mataram’ during the program held at J.K. Sports Club.

Andheri- Vile Parle

An exhibition on life-history of revolutionaries was held at ‘Krantiveer Welfare Garden’ in J. B. Nagar. Shri. Suyog Mandavkar, Shri. Santosh Bandarkar and Shri. Sunil Thakur held lectures on the topic of ‘Maintaining honour of national flags and good governance’ at ‘Saiwadi Ganeshotsav Mandal’, ‘Kalaiwala Kal Ganeshotsav Mandal’, Subhash Nagar, so also at residential societies viz. ‘Sukh Sagar Ganesh Housing Society; ‘Om Kalpataru Society’ at MIDC, Gautam Nagar and ‘Bindra Complex’ on Mahakali Road.

Bhandup

Sou. Prajakta Sawant spoke on the above topic at ‘Sahyadrinagar Ganeshotsav Mandal and Ganesh Mitra Mandal’ at Bhandup. Shri. Nilesh Pawar, Shri. Shriram Yadav and Kum. Bhagyashri Hadkar staged demo on self-defence. Shri. Sachin Ghag gave lecture at ‘Om Mitra Mandal’ and Kum. Bhagyashri Hadkar and Kum. Komal sang all stanzas of national song ‘Vande Mataram’.

Kandivali

‘Navadeep Mitra Mandal and Shiv-Shambho Charitable Trust’ at Kandivali had organized flag-hoisting program; wherein Sou. Ashwini Pawar of HJS explained the significance of national flag, about ‘Flag Code of India’ and sacrifices by revolutionaries. 70 people were present on the occasion. Shri. Arvind More, Executive President and Shri. Suyog Mahadik, President then asked for similar lectures giving information on Mahashivaratri festival and other forthcoming festivals.

Sou. Anita Shahane of HJS hoisted flag at Krushna Tower, Ashok Nagar, Kandivali (East) after which she sang full ‘Vande Mataram’ and held lecture. HJS has been extended invitation for attending program even on Republic Day.

Yavatmal : Good response received from school children to drive on maintaining honour of national flags

Yavatmal : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) undertook a drive on the occasion of 15th August at LIC Chowk on Dhamangaon Road; for maintaining honour of national flags. A box was kept for collecting used flags. School children gave good response to this drive by collecting soiled and damaged flags and putting them in the collection box kept for the purpose. Vehicle owners also put their flags displayed on vehicles in the collection box. An exhibition on life-history of revolutionaries was held at the venue. Handbills on avoiding abuse of national flags were distributed on the occasion. All flags collected on the occasion will be handed over to District Collector’s office.

HJS has been undertaking such drive since past ten years and very few flags were displayed on vehicles compared to last year.

Extensive awareness was created about national flags at Nagpur !

Nagpur : Lectures were held on the topic of maintaining honour of national flags at 22 schools in the city and exhibition on revolutionaries was held at two places. The school Principals said that such exhibition would certainly create respect towards sacrifices made by revolutionaries for freedom of this country and create patriotism amongst children.

Handbills were distributed under the drive; besides, displaying posters and flex banners; creating awareness through social websites etc. Representations were submitted for maintaining honour of national flags to District Collector, Nagpur; Dy. Police Commissioner (Spl branch), Nagpur and various schools and colleges submitting representations for avoiding abuse of national flags.
