Ganesh festival committees make a resolve to celebrate Ganesh festival in ideal manner for acquiring grace of Shri Ganesh !

Jalgaon : Public festival committees have made a resolve that they would celebrate all social, national and religious festivals in ideal manner; stop malpractices in celebrating such festivals and seek Shri Ganesh’s grace by celebrating Ganesh festival in ideal manner. Such resolve was made during work-shop held on 5th August for creating coordination between public festival committees.

H.B.P. Devadatta Morade Maharaj, ‘Bhagavatkar’; Sanatan Sanstha’s Shri. Dattatreya Waghulade and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS)’s Sou. Kshipra Juvekar and Shri. Prashant Juvekar addressed 40 office-bearers of various Ganesh festival committees and their members attending the work-shop. It was started with blowing of conch, followed with lighting of lamp. The program was compeered by Kum. Aditi Jadhav. VCD made by Sanatan Sanstha on ideal manner of celebrating Ganesh festival was shown on the occasion.

Congratulations to festival committees which started prompt implementation after the work-shop !

Festival committees decided on doing following things during the group discussions held on the subject on ‘What will I do for ideal celebration of festival?’

1. They will play Shri Ganesh’s chant and ‘Stotra’ instead of playing film songs on loudspeakers.

2. Instead of organizing dance competitions, they will hold competitions for recitation of ‘Shri Ganapati Atharvasheersha’, recitation of ‘Hanuman Chaalisaa’; besides organizing other programs for creating awareness towards matters related to protection of nation and Dharma.

3. They will make use of traditional musical instruments during immersion processions.

Active feedback of festival committees

Few committees demanded lectures, first-aid and self-defence demos and some of them said that they would create awareness on ideal celebration of Ganesh festival by showing the VCD in different villages.
