We shall oppose takeover of temples by Govt : Shiv Sena MLA Rajesh Kshirsagar

Kolhapur : ‘I raised the issue of malpractices in ‘Paschim Maharashtra Devasthan Vyavasthapan Samiti’ during State Assembly session and investigations are going on through State CID. We have raised voice against the malpractices. We shall certainly oppose takeover of temples by Govt whenever the matter is brought up in State assembly session’, stated Shiv Sena MLA Shri. Rajesh Kshirsagar. A representation was recently submitted to him demanding cancellation of decision to take over Shri Shanaishwar Devasthan of Shani Shingnapur; all temples should be released from Government’s control and handed over to devotees for management.

MLA Shri. Kshirsagar was given copy of the special issue published by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on ‘Protect temple culture’. MLA Shri. Kshirasagr promised to study the special issue so also the representation. Shri. Madhukar Nazare and Shri. Shivanand Swami of HJS and Sanatan Sanstha’s Dr. Mansingh Shinde was present on the occasion.
