Nashik : Congress appears to be better when we witness the way the Government is rushing to take math – temples into its custody. In temples in Western Maharashtra there used to be arati early morning (Kakad Arati), the grazing land of temples which was never touched by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Peshwas and the British during their reign, because the land was the property of temples referred to as ‘Devdhan’. These lands are grabbed by political people and illegal constructions are being made on these lands. They drove away the people living there and grabbed their lands. With an attempt to cover these encroachments, temples are being taken into custody by the Government.
