Shimla (Himachal Pradesh): Unknown thieves stole idols, crown, gold, silver and cash from 4 temples in Himachal Pradesh on the same day from same area. Yesterday when devotees visited a temple, they noticed that crown on the idol of Sree Durgamata was missing. They immediately called the police from Baluganj. Later, it was observed that theft had taken place in 3 other temples in the same area like Shanumangala Durgamata Temple and Banderi Mandir. (Had there been incident of theft in some deserted church in India, it would have become international news; police would have left no stone unturned to find the thieves. Ministers, administrative officers would have rushed to the place to cajole Christians. On the other hand, police or the rulers do not take incidents of theft in temples seriously since Hindus are not united. There is no alternative to Hindu unity to bring about a change in this situation ! – Editor SP)
