Maharashtra : Various drives undertaken by HJS on the occasion of 15th August

Pune :  Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS)’s drive for maintaining honour of national lag was undertaken at Pune city and Chinchwad on the occasion of Independence Day. Plastic flags are bought on 15th August and are thrown on roads or in gutters on the following day; flags are drawn on faces; t-shirts or even doormats are used with picture of national flag on them which is abuse of national flag; therefore, awareness was created towards this issue.

VCD on preventing abuse of national flags shown in shop selling TVs

VCD to create awareness about prevention of abuse of national lag was shown on 14th and 15th August in 4 shops selling TV on Sinhgad Road. Many people watched the VCD.

Cells set up for creating awareness at ‘Abhiruchi Mall’, Kothrud and Chinchwadgaon

A Cell was set up for creating awareness on this issue at Abhiruchi Mall. A teacher recorded the film in his cell phone and said that he would show it in his school to all students. Many people showed interest in joining activities of HJS. There were young men wearing t-shirts and bands with picture of national flags near the Cell; therefore, they were explained about abuse of national flags. More than 300 local residents visited the Cell. Similar Cell was set up even at Chapekar Chowk in Chinchwadgaon.

Highlights

1. Shri. Keshav Das, Manager of Abhiruchi Mall liked the activities undertaken by HJS; therefore, he gave this well-located place for setting up the Cell. He said that he was going to explain this topic to 200 students attending his Yoga-class.

2. Shri. Heramb Abhyankar, a teacher of Sevasadan School liked the video-film and said that he would show it to his students from the school.

3. Many people registered for the group called ‘Jago Hindu’ for spreading messages through sms regarding nation and Dharma.

4.  Few persons subscribed for ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ whereas some people showed interest in joining activities of HJS.

5. Children wearing T-shirts with picture of national flags and wrist-band when explained about the issue, said that they had no information about the same and they would not do such things in future.

6. Advocate Rajkumar Gandhi asked details about activities of HJS and appreciated them. He said that it was good work and should be continued even in future.

Shri. Pravin Naik of HJS hoists flag at Kothrud

Flag-hoisting was held near Ganeshotsav Mandal of Shri. Navanath Jadhav. Municipal councilor Sou.Vasanti Navanath Jadhav and Shri. Pravin Naik of HJS hoisted the flag; followed with singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ with all stanzas. In the evening, exhibition on life history of revolutionaries was held on behalf of Ganeshotsav Mandal.

Exhibition on revolutionaries held at Kothrud

An exhibition of boards depicting life history of revolutionaries was held at Azadwadi near Gujarat Colony at Kothrud. Some of them showed interest in putting up exhibition during Ganeshotsav. A reader of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ wanted to put up the exhibition in the hall of his bungalow.

Plastic and paper flags collected at Vadgaon Sheri

Few patriotic citizens collected plastic and paper flags from vendors on 15th August at Vadgaon Sheri, Chandan nagar, Somnath Nagar and Ganesh Nagar. They also explained to the vendors about not selling and buying of such flags.

Lecture at Deccan Education Society’s Technical Institute

Shri. Vilas Bhide of HJS explained importance of national flags and ways to prevent their abuse to students and teachers of Deccan Education Society’s Technical Institute. There were 25 students, 8 teachers and 7 past students.

Borgaon : ‘Vande Mataram’ sung by all !

Borgaon (Talka Valva, Dist Sangli) : On 15th August, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti led in singing ‘Vande Mataram’ collectively by students of ten schools and ten ‘anganwadis’ on a ground in Borgaon. All stanzas of ‘Vande Mataram’ were sung on the occasion by more than 800 students. Shri. Prakash Vategaonkar, the Sarpanch of Borgaon took initiative in this drive. (Congratulations to Sarpanch Prakash Vategaonkar and local residents for taking initiative in national program ! – Editor, Hindujagruti)

5000 students attend guidance held at Wardha, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli in the background of Independence Day

Wardha : Representations were submitted at 40 schools in Wardha, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli on the occasion of Independence Day and 5000 students attended the guidance given in that connection.

1. Sou. Sandhya Lanjewar, the Principal of ‘Kesarimal’ School said, “Drive undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) is most commendable.” A teacher from Gadchiroli said that HJS drive helped in awakening respect and patriotism amongst students.

One girl student said that HJS should be felicitated for holding such exhibition in school.

Highlights

1. Many students showed interest in knowing whether such information would be available on website mentioned on display-boards.

2. Two girl students showed interest in joining HJS activities.

3. Response received from Principals and teachers of all schools was very good.

4. It was decided to send enlightening messages on ‘Whats AP’ numbers of few Principals and teachers.

5. Permission was also granted for undertaking some drives regularly for students in schools.

Active response by citizens and police to maintaining honour of national flags drive undertaken in Wardha district !

Wardha : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) set up a Cell in Arvi Naka area for creating awareness amongst people. An appeal was made to deposit national flags in donation boxes if their abuse was observed. Awareness was created amongst local residents through the medium of local Madhu Cable Network. HJS volunteers explained to vendors in the area selling plastic national flags and balloons regarding abuse of national flags. Police took action against such vendors as brought to their notice and sale of plastic flags was stopped. (Congratulations to police taking prompt action against anti-nationals ! – Editor, Hindujagruti). Small children near Anand Dairy were also explained the subject.

Highlights

1. Owner of Anand Dairy offered tables for the drive and gave an opportunity to present the subject during their program.

2. Police Inspector Vijay Magar of Ramnagar, Wardha and his colleagues extended cooperation to the drive.

3. Students deposited plastic national flags in donation boxes after hearing the guidance.

Citizens looking at exhibition boards on life history of revolutionaries

Dombivali : Shri. Sunil Kadam stated during a flag-hoisting program held at ‘Sankeshwar Palm’ Society that everyone needs to unite for bringing change into generation tilting towards western culture even after 70 years of independence, for bringing change into the position of lack of patriotic rulers in this country and in fanatics opposing to ‘Vande Mataram’. The program was attended by 50 people. An exhibition on life history of revolutionaries was also held at the venue. The organizers of the program extended invitation to HJS for undertaking drives during Navaratri festival.

Exhibition on revolutionaries held at Todavalkar Vidyalaya in Dombivali and was visited by 100 students.

Highlights

Every teacher was instructing students to write down information on revolutionaries given on the boards. Teachers were quite impressed with the exhibition on revolutionaries’ life history. Many teachers felt that such exhibition should be held in every school.

A lecture was held at ‘Susanskar’ Coaching Class in Maharashtra Nagar and it was attended by about 60 students.

Thane

A lecture was held at Maharashtra Vidyalaya in Naupada area and it was attended by 500 students. It was heard by students of even other classes through sound system of the school. Principal Shri. B. B. Thanekar extended every possible help.

Highlights

It was advised on behalf of the School that Sanatan’s good speakers would be invited to give guidance during ‘Sharadotsav’. Students said that Sanatan seekers gave good information which they had never heard before. Guidance given by Sanatan seekers was most valuable and students quite agreed with them. They said that they would use it even in their personal life.

Bhiwandi

A lecture was held in Zilha Parishada’s school at Bhiwandi, Bhandarli. There was no electricity when all were to sing ‘Vande Mataram’ collectively. Shri. Girish Patil, a devout Hindu then prayed to ‘’Goandevimata for holding of the program without any obstacles and power supply was restored immediately.

Ambarnath

On behalf of Ambarnath Town Council, flag-hoisting was held in ‘Hutatma Chowk’. With the help of Shri. Sachin Patil and Shri. Ganesh Gaikwad from NCP’s ‘Dahi-handi Utsav Mandal’, full ‘Vande Mataram’ was played after the national anthem. VCD prepared by HJS on maintaining honour of national flags was also shown on the occasion. 100-125 people stopped in Chowk to attend the program. Mayor Pradnya Bansod of Ambarnath and Computer-Chief Suhas Sawant from Town Council were also present for the program.

Highlights

1. Few car-drivers stopped when ‘Vande Mataram’ was played and left only after the song was over.

2. The program was held with the initiative of Shri. Suhas Sawant, Computer Chief of Town Council. He extended invitation to HJS for holding lecture even during Shri Ganesh festival.

3. Mayor Pradnya Bansod liked ‘Vande Mataram’ program.

Kalyan

Maintaining honour of national flags and Ganeshotsav were the topics of guidance for students of Shishuvikas Vidyalaya, Beturkar Pada and M. J. B. Kanya Vidyalaya, Joshibaug, Station Road, Kalyan (West).
