Hindus demand immediate repair of Durgadi Fort

Repairs of Durgadi Fort should be undertaken immediately and completed by 14th August : Demand by Shiva-patrons through representation submitted to MLA Shri. Narendra Pawar and MLA Shri. Jagannath (Appa) Shinde

Kalyan : Sentiments of billions of people are associated with Durgadi Fort; therefore, its repairs should be undertaken on war-footing and a scheme should be devised for its maintenance and security, on permanent basis. The repair work may be started in a week’s time and completed by 14th August. The above demand has been made by Shiva-patrons with BJP MLA Shri. Narendra Pawar and MLA Shri. Jagannath (Appa) Shinde of NCP from Legislative Council. Members of ‘Hindu Mahamandal’, ‘Shrimant Chhatrapati Pratishthan’, ‘Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan’ and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti were present on the occasion.

‘Had walls of fanatics’ houses collapsed like collapsing of Durgadi bastions, one can’t even imagine what would have happened, said BJP-MLA Shri. Narendra Pawar. He also promised that enough funds would be made available for repairs of Durgadi. NCP-MLA Shri. Jagannath (Appa) Shinde also promised to present ‘Durgadi’- issue as ‘starred’ question during Assembly session.
