New Delhi : Delegation of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) met the Home (State) Minister Hansaraj Ahir and demanded imposition of ban on Dr. Zakir Naik’s Facebook account. Indian Government has imposed ban on ‘Islamic Research Foundation’ of Dr. Fakir Naik under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UPA) Under this law, it is a crime to propagate its activities by this organization; still Dr. Zakir has been using social media for spreading his activities throughout Bharat. It was brought to the notice of the Minister along with proofs that how Facebook, Twitter and illegal cable channels were spreading his work. It was also demanded that legal action should be taken against all persons who are a part of Zakir’s propagation and ban should be imposed promptly on such propagation. A representation was submitted to the above effect by HJS’ Shri. Shriram Kane, Shri. Kartik Salunkhe, its Coordinator for Delhi and Sanatan Sanstha’s Shri. Abhay Vartak, spokesperson and Shri. Sanjeev Kumar were present on the occasion.
