HJS demands ban on ‘Believers’ involved in hooliganism in the name of religion

Panaji : Hooligans of ‘Believers’ beat up Shri. Haridas Naik till he fell unconscious, because he had complained about the centre of ‘Believers’, operated at Sankwal in unauthorized manner. Shri. Naik’s relatives and local residents intervened in time and saved Shri. Haridas Naik’s life. Instead of taking action against those hooligans, police have provided security to ‘Believers’ centre. It is appeasement of minorities. The incident has created terror at Sankwal amongst Hindus creating communal tension. Hooligans of Believers are becoming bold day by day creating terror in Goa; spreading communal disharmony; therefore, ban should be imposed on ‘Believers’ organization, is the demand made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).

Shri. Haridas Naik has been lodging complaints in lawful manner, with local Panchayat and Verna police for last 4 years but nobody paid attention. Now, he has been brutally attacked. Few days back, many secular organizations and political parties raised objection on statements made by P. P. Sadhvi Saraswati and made hue and cry about law and order problem; but Believers’ hooligans ran amok at Sankwal and beat up Shri. Hari Naik only because he is a Hindu and none of these peace-loving (?) political leaders or organizations have registered simple protest even after two days since the incident occurred. One cow-slaughterer was beaten up or stone pelted at a church leads to these people creating public outrage; however, attempts are made to kill a Hindu but these so-called seculars keep quiet. Is it their secularism ? Why are the politicians always criticizing pro-Hindu organizations keeping mum or are they afraid of Believers’ hooligans ?

Ban has been imposed for last 3 years on Sriram Sena’s Founder-President from entering Goa by only assuming that his visit might disturb peace in Goa; whereas Believers’ followers are continuously taking law in their hand and disturbing communal harmony; still the Government is sheltering them which is beyond comprehension. HJS has therefore, demanded that ban should be imposed on Believers’ organization involved in crimes and its hooligans should be booked immediately; else Hindus will have to come on streets, warned HJS.
