Movement has to be staged for preventing malpractices in Govt managed temples : Adv. Virendra Ichalkaranjikar

Advocate Virendra Ichalkaranjikar narrated activities undertaken by ‘Hindu Vidhidnya Parishada ( HVP)’ against ‘takeover of temples by Govt and his experiences related to this mission. He said that giving excuse of corruption by temple trustees in managing temples, the State Government in Maharashtra took over management of 5 important temples. By taking over management, however, corruption has not ended. In fact, after Government taking over these temples, they became centres of corruption and of robbers. Temples are the original sources of divine energy acquired by Hindus but Hindus lack ‘Dharmashikshan’. Information was obtained under RTI Act to expose true face of such taken over temples; therefore, concerned officers of temples were pressurized. Extensive people’s movement has to be staged to create awareness amongst people towards corruption in managing temples. It will put curb on misuse of funds offered by devotees to temples.
