Meeting of Trusties in a temple in Thane

Thane(Maharashtra): The Government has robbed its subjects until now and has filled its own treasures.  And now the Hindu temples are being targeted. The Hindu force has weakened today and treacherous is gaining power. "Send letters, telegrams to the government to protest against Mandir Sarkarikaran Law" said H.H.Jain Muni Surji Maharaj, who is also a Hindu and further warned that "we will oppose this law till our last breath". The meeting of the trusties of various religious institutions and temples held on 19th august at Jain Temple, Tembhi Naka. More than 40 Hindu officials of different Hindu institutions were present.

While addressing the officials in the meeting, Mr. Shivaji Vaatkar,Co-ordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti for Mumbai, Thane and Raigarh said that, "The newspapers ‘Loksatta‘ and ‘Times of India‘ has quoted the Law Minister of Maharashtra saying that the money is not being properly invested by the temple authorities in Maharashtra and therefore 2 lakhs temples are being taken under the control.’ He further said that "it is evident from the happenings at Siddhivinayak temple of mumbai which under the control of the government that the funds of Hindu temples are diverted and utilised for muslims and christians. Ethically, the donations received by the temples must be invested for the betterment of Hindu religion only; but as the Hindus are not united these funds are usually diverted.  And now everyone must get united to oppose this law and similarly for the religion and to save our temples a Mahasangh should be set up."

Mr. Rajendra of Aiyappa Temple said, "if we don’t do anything today then tomorrow what answer we to the coming generations? Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has been working hard since the year 2000, we didn’t support them but from now we shall support them."
