‘Protect Khadakvasla Water Reservoir’ drive of HJS achieves 100 % success !March 21, 2011
HJS undertook a drive on the day of ‘Dhuli-vandan’ for protection of ‘Khadakvasla Water Reservoir’ from the people celebrating ‘Holi’ using chemical colours/ paints, to prevent contamination of water in the Reservoir as it supplies water to Pune so also curb malpractices taking place under the guise of celebration of this festival. The drive achieved 100% success and this was the tenth year of undertaking such drive by HJS.

Pune: Around 100 members of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti will guard the Khadakwasla dam on March 20 and 24 from 10 am to 7 pm to prevent revellers from bathing in the reservoir after celebrating Holi and Rang Panchami.
