Anti-Sanatan ‘IBN Lokmat’ falls heavily on the face

Mumbai: As the news about chargesheet filed against accused in Margao bomb blast case was published, ‘IBN’ Lokmat channel once again started talking strongly against Sanatan. Dainik Lokmat’s Panaji Editor, Raju Nayak was contacted over phone and venom against Sanatan started flowing on the channel. Pramod Acharya from ‘Prudent’ news channel, however, clarified the position and informed that Sanatan was not included in the charge sheet; after which ‘IBN Lokmat’ had to stop talking against Sanatan.

The newsreader, in its news telecast at 3.00 p.m., asked Raju Nayak, “Will any action be taken against Sanatan since there is so much of delay in filing of chargesheet?” Raju Nayak said, “The charge sheet should have been filed a month ago in connection with the case of explosives found at Sankwal but that did not happen and people feared whether the accused would go scot free. The same accused are, however, involved even in Margao bomb blast case and therefore, the police have filed charge sheets in both the cases. The important agency like special investigation bureau took so long in collecting evidence. Now what the police are going to do is not known but the accusations are quite serious and Sanatan Sanstha is involved in this. (Not a single agency has taken the name of Sanatan but Mr. Raju Nayak is deliberately maligning Sanatan’s name! – Editor SP). Therefore, there is a great demand in Goa to impose ban on Sanatan. When people asked the Goa Chief Minister, he said, “The proposal of ban should come from Home Ministry.” Home Minister Ravi Naik had said that his ministry would take a decision after chargesheet was filed. There will, therefore, be pressure on the Government to seriously try to ban such organizations.”

Action is required, let there be anyone involved in terrorism – Parrikar

Former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said, “I had told in the beginning to hand over the case to the central security agency but these people wasted two months by handling it at local level. The main evidence could have been destroyed by now. Let us see what does the chargesheet say? But the important thing is, let there be anyone creating such terrorism, action has to be taken against the concerned.”

Then again Raju Nayak said, “This is likely to bring forth the perverted face of Hindu terrorism. This can also have connection with the terrorist activities taking place in other parts of the country. This can bring forth the terrorism of majority to threaten minorities. People should also become alert now. These people have cheated innocent people of Goa and spread its activities; big ashrams have been built and have drawn poor, innocent people in their net. The people of Goa will demand to bring forth the real narture of these organizations.

The chargesheet is only centred on the accused

  Mr. Pramod Acharya, representative of Prudent channel was asked whether there was any possibility to take action against Sanatan; in what ditection, the police were carrying on investigations when he replied, “NIA has asked for setting up of a special court. The accused are now in custody for almost six months and it became necessary to file chargesheet and that is why it has been filed. This 4000 pages chargesheet has been filed against two accused who died in the blast and other 4 persons. In case of the remaining 4 absconding accused persons, investigations will go on.The important information given by the sources is that NIA has not mentioned anywhere about direct involvement of Sanatan. Therefore, this chargesheet is based on individual accused and not against organization.” The newsreader had to then stop referring to Sanatan. She said, “This chargesheet is filed against the accused and not against any organization, therefore, it will be very interesting to know as to what is going to be the outcome.”

In the news telecast by ‘ZEE 24 Taas’, it was mentioned that the needle of suspicion is directed towards Sanatan.
