Shiv Sena & HJS to agitate if Statue is not found !

September 15, 2009

Bhadrapad Krushna Ekadashi/Dwadashi, Kaliyug Varsha 5111

Panvel (Maharashtra): Raigad was the Capital of the Hindu Empire of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, situated in Mahad Taluka. It has come to light that the statue of Jijabai, mother of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was stolen from Pachad village which is at the base of the Raigad.  The statue is made up of the alloys of 5 metals. (Desecration of Idols of Hindu Deities along with theft of Deities’ Idols has happened in the past. Now Icons of National Heritage are also being stolen. The Congress Govt. is responsible for this pitiable situation of near non- existent Law & Order. People should boycott such an inefficient Govt. in the forthcoming elections ! – Editor SP) Organisations like Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Shiv Sena and also Sambhaji Brigade warned that they would stage agitations if the statue was not found in the next 24 hours. Even though a Security Guard was employed there, the Statue of Jijabai was stolen.

Rajmata Jijabai used to live in Pachad village. Her Samadhi is also in this village. Today Pachad village observed a spontaneous ‘Bandh’. Villagers who have no illusions about how adept the Police are, have decided to search for the statue of Jijabai on their own. (O Police, this is blazing proof of your utter unreliability ! – Editor SP)

Statewide agitations will be staged if the Statue of Jijabai is not found immediately ! – Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti issued a circular to protest against the theft of the statue of Rajmata Jijabai, mother of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In the last few months thefts in Sree Dhootpapeshwar Temple and the Ancient Idol of the Deity in Marleshwar were stolen. Desecration of Idols of Hindu Deities’ at 30 places in Goa and a repetition of such incidents in the rest of Maharashtra draws attention to the fact that there is a substantial increase in such incidents of desecration and theft of Hindu Deities’ Idols.

So the question arises, ‘Is there any plot behind such incidents of theft of Idols of Hindu Deities?’ Taking note of the recent Miraj Riots, the Police Administration should act immediately on this issue of theft. Also the key person behind this issue must be investigated. The Police has not arrested criminals related to these issues in the past and so the question of whether there is any ‘Will of the Government to act’ in such cases arises, said Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
