Principal of St Xavier’s school in Andheri East of Mumbai was arrested on Friday for allegedly molesting two students of Class 1 and Class 3.

On Thursday, a group of parents had carried out a protest outside school. The principal was booked under relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POSCO).

According to the police, the principal had allegedly taken a six-year-old boy to the bathroom and molested him. Around 500 parents of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) had gathered in the school and protested.

The principal was at-large after the reports of the alleged molestation had come out. But on Friday, the police arrested him.
