Updated News

Thane (Maharashtra): Shri. Kaustubh Phatak, a devout Hindu from Ambernath was assured by the workers in 'Oxford Book Center' at Churchgate that the controversial book 'Holy Cow' would not be sold in their shop. Bajarang Dal had burnt the effigy of the author of this book yesterday as a mark of protest since it contains derogatory criticism on Hindu deities, Dharma, Indian culture and Hindu Organizations.

A news item was published in the daily newspaper 'Dainik Sanatan Prabhat'. Shri. Kaustubh Phatak read the news and called up 'Oxford Book Center' at Churchgate and explained about denigration of Hindu deities and Dharma in the said book resulting in hurting religious sentiments of Hindus. (Congratulations to Shri. Phatak for being so prompt in finding the contact number of the shop and registering protest – Editor). Two workers from the shop assured him that there were only 2 copies available for sale in the shop and they would keep them aside; besides, they would also inform the chief distributor about the same.

'Holy Cow' book denigrates Hindu deities, author' effigy burnt

Thane (Maharashtra): Sara MacDonald, an Australian author of a book titled ‘Holy Cow – an Indian Adventure’ has made mockery of Hindu deities and hurt religious sentiments of thousands of Hindus. (Hindus must realize that nobody dares to say anything against objects of worship of Muslims as they are fanatics. But anyone and everyone takes advantage of over -tolerance of Hindus. Hindus should therefore, first develop love for their Dharma, only then such denigration would stop. – Editor)

This writer of the book is ignorant of the Hindu Way of life. It will take her 5000 years for her to understand the Hindu Culture because it is very vast and liberal in the world. She is very narrow minded attitude towards Hindu culture and must be stopped at every cost of her insane and disrespect thinking towards the Hindu deities and to the Hindu community of the world. She must and willfully say sorry, opologize and pay a fine towards her unreasonable character towards the hindu thought.

People living in gutters want others to do so. I quote a story:-. Lord Brahma took pity on one His creations, The Pig.
He wanted to reform them
. Came down to earth and held a meeting of all pigs. He apologized for their miserable condition and told them that He would take them to Heaven. The pigs asked Him how the Heaven looked like. He explained in detail the comforts and the enchanting surroundings. Then, an elderly pig stood up and asked whether there were "Gutters" there as on the earth. He said, "No chance" Then the elderly pig said " If there are no Gutters for us to play about we don't want your heaven."Brahma left in anger
MORAL :- The author is like the pigs stay put in Gutter

Dear brothers & sisters,
What does a mother do when a daughter writes filth about her? If sanatana dharma is the mother of all religions, what does a mother do to reform an ignorant sibling? let somone who knows her address send her a book describing the meanings of the forms in our dharma & how it leads us realise the formless God. doesnt mocking an ignorant person, degrade our level of spritual standard set by the great dharma we are part of? there is a lot of salt in the vessels around, so lets keep adding water to reduce the salt instead of mocking & adding any more salt.

love & prayers,
Raj

i would like to know her reaction if we denigrated jesus the same way.
if we respect jesus christ. this is what we get back. we have had enough tolerance with these people and now it is the time to retalitate. it can be taught to the worshippers of jesus christ about how false their religion is.

Its people like Sarah who are so insecure about their religion that they are not able to accept the truth and sanctity of hinduism. Have you ever seen a hindu preaching conversion....but u find christians outside the tirupati balaji temple distributing pamplets to convert....furthermore, they entice people to convert by paying money.....i mean how cheap can u get. It shows that you dont have faith in the principles of your own religion. So much for their "great" religion...the cracks of which were bought out in the open so beautifully in the da vinci code.....

I really feel pity on the author of the book. If the author ever tried to understand the essence of Hinduism she will become a folower of the same. Poor Fellow. . . Inspite of ALL the Critisism Hinduism will be guiding the world all over, through ages. Critics will be the loosers.

If the synopsis on the book is true.. this is just another foreigners stupid reflection of what her little mind could grasp wrongly about our culture. Not surprising at all, in an age, where most Indians would wonder and think questioningly, if not agree with the author.

Westerners (read as people of white origin), seem to have no qualms in belittling ideas, new places, religions and gods. While their ignorance may be pardoned, their attitude cannot be. Their country , sustained by dole and a beer binging ideology , which is historically a land of rejected convicts and crooks, cannot come up with such refined philosophy , even after a few light years !

For several centuries there has been an organized movement to defame Hinduism starting from the misinterpretation of the Vedas. Most people or so called philosophers of the west never had any understanding of Sanskrit. Some converted Brahmins fools sold their soul and wrote some crap to justify their actions. Unfortunately, Hinduism is not an institutionalized religion which is the need of the day to keep check on writers, speakers and other con man. The VHP which claims representation of Hindus is lost in itself. There are pockets here and there but not a single representation. The question is which institution represents Hinduism and protects its interest. I don’t know. Can someone tell me

The Author must be punished in public for abusing religious feelings of Hindus. I request the outsiders that are tolerance should not be considered as our cowardness as it is just the teachings of our religion to Forgive. But there is always a limit and hence do not test our patience or else the consequences would be worst than what is happening today. Be Good And Do Good! Respect others Religious sentiments. Thank You.
